Scholarship Opportunities

Please read the following information before applying: 

  • All applications must be submitted through SmarterSelect. The links below will direct you to each scholarship's application on SmarterSelect and you will be prompted to create an account upon first login. You will use this same account if you apply for other Foundation scholarships thereafter.
  • If you are applying for multiple Foundation scholarships, MOST of your information will copy through each application. In some cases, you will need to fill out the form again. 
  • No paper applications, letters or recommendation or transcripts will be accepted.
  • The scholarships listed below are the only scholarships currently accepting applications. Additional scholarship opportunities will be added as they come available, so please check back. 
  • Please review the requirements for each scholarship before submitting an application, eligibility details can be found by clicking on each link.
  • Recipients will be notified in April/May 2018 via mail OR at your school's Senior Awards Night
  • Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipient's college or university to be credited toward tuition.

Jag's Mise En Place Scholarship

  • up to $3000 (1) dependent on tuition rate
  • renewable for 2 years
  • hourly employee of Jag's Steak & Seafood for at least 2 years
  • planning to attend a college/university, trade school, or certification class

Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty Scholarship 

  • $1000 (2)
  • graduating seniors living in West Chester or Liberty Township who demonstrate financial need

Kyle Babcock Scholarship 

  • $2000
  • students who will attend, or are currently attending, Bishop Fenwick High School

Julia Ellen Burnett Scholarship

  • $500
  • student living in Mason, West Chester or Liberty Township 

Jordan Day Scholarship 

  • $1000
  • senior student athletes on the Lakota East Women's and Men's golf teams

Harold Draut Scholarship 

  • $750
  • Lakota East and Lakota West graduating seniors 

Diversity 101 Scholarship (available for the 2018-2019 school year)

  • 2 essay-based scholarships awarded
  • eligible students must reside in Butler, Hamilton, Warren or Clermont counties
  • raising awareness and education on the issues surrounding bullying, and engaging communities and schools to talk about the best ways for preventing it.

Susan Hendel Scholarship

  • $500
  • women 30 years of age or older who are returning to post-secondary education, or attending to for the first time 

Hoody Memorial Scholarship

  • $7500
  • graduating seniors at Lakota East and Lakota West high schools

Alicia Esther Lang Memorial Scholarship 

  • $1000
  • graduating seniors from Lakota East or Lakota West

Bob Lawhorn Education Fund Scholarship

  • 4 years of full undergraduate tuition to the University of Cincinnati
  • graduating seniors from Norwood High School 

Greg Lemmel Scholarship 

  • $1000 (renewable for 4 years)
  • students graduating from St. Susanna Elementary and attending Bishop Fenwick High School 

Karen Moeller Memorial Scholarship

  • $1500 (2) and up to 5 additional $500 awards
  • graduating seniors at Lakota East of Lakota West 

Logan Pence Scholarship

  • $1000
  • graduating senior from Monroe High School attending Eastern Kentucky University

Pete's List of Excellence in History & Government

  • $400 (2)
  • graduating senior from Lakota East or Lakota West

Kristin Renneker Scholarship 

  • $2000 (2)
  • female graduating senior athletes from Lakota East and Lakota West

Jessica Ann Siegel Scholarship

  • $2000
  • graduating seniors from Lakota East 

Shayna Smith Scholarship

  • $1000
  • Lakota West graduating senior attending college to pursue a science degree

Dana Spangler Memorial Scholarship

  • $500
  • female graduating senior from Lakota East who demonstrates financial need

West Chester Hospital Scholarship

  • $2000 (2)
  • graduating seniors who are or have been a participant in West Chester Hospital's Shadowing or Field Rotation programs and is planning to pursue a degree in the healthcare field

Ezekiel "Zeke" Stepaniak Memorial Scholarship

  • $1000
  • male graduating seniors from Lakota West planning to pursue a degree in the field of creative design
