The Key Event

On behalf of The Community Foundation board and staff THANK YOU for helping to make our 24th Annual Key Event: WhisKEY&Wine a great success! Together, we raised more than $190,000 for our community. Proceeds from The Key Event benefit The Foundation's Community Grants Fund and ongoing operations, allowing us to award $100,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations each year and continue our mission to encourage, support, and facilitate philanthropy!

We are proud to say we had the largest sponsor participation to date, bringing in more than $52,000 in sponsorship from local businesses and families. The Live Auction raised a stunning $82,000 - a $34,000 increase over our 2016 Live Auction.

The night would not have been possible without the leadership of our 2017 Key Event chairs, Jeanne Brauns and Vickie Hunter, as well as ourKey Event Chef Team led by Chef Michelle Brown of Jag's Steak & Seafood.

We took the opportunity at The Key Event to thank our Forever Fund Families & Businesses, especially our newest Forever Fund donors George and Janet Benhase, whose vision and generosity have helped us reach $3.5M of our $5M goal for the Forever Fund Operating Endowment!
