Youth in Philanthropy (YIP)
Youth in Philanthropy, an initiative of the Community Foundation, is a program designed to introduce local high school students to philanthropy and community development. The program provides hands-on experience that benefits both the participating students and local charities. By their involvement with the Youth In Philanthropy program, students work in the community to raise money, build endowment funds and make grants to non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of youth our community. Engaging youth in philanthropy is an opportunity to prepare young people to be active, lifelong community citizens.
Applications for the 2012-2013 School Year will become available in April.
