2nd Annual Kyle J. Babcock Golf Outing – July
29, 2006
On May 25, 2005, Kyle Babcock’s life was cut short
on a Tennessee road just three days shy of his high school graduation.
The Bishop Fenwick High School senior was a passionate 18-year-old with
an infectious smile and quick-wit. Kyle was an honor role student and a
competitive soccer player who had achieved a position with the Wittenberg
University 2005 Men’s Soccer Team.
Coach Andy Vollmar, Fenwick Men’s
Soccer Coach stated, “Kyle’s commitment to excellence represents
the best in every athlete, regardless of the sport. Kyle never disappointed
me with his effort or his willingness to meet a challenge.”
To continue
to support these wonderful qualities in other students, a scholarship fund
was established in Kyle’s memory at The Community Foundation of West
Chester/Liberty. In 2006, a $2,000 scholarship was awarded to Kevin Jones,
a Bishop Fenwick student. Each year, a Fenwick student will be selected
to receive funding for tuition assistance.
We would like to honor Kyle’s
memory and at the same time increase the funds in the scholarship fund.
Therefore, we are holding the 2nd Annual Kyle Babcock Golf Outing on Saturday,
July 29, 2006 at The Golf Center at Kings Island.
Kyle gave us a legacy
of excellence and an eternal smile. Thank you for supporting the scholarship
fund that bears his name through your donation to the Kyle Babcock Memorial
Golf Outing.
